Color Appetizer

I have exceeded my data limit for the month of September... darn! But I could not resist posting just a few images from the last few days of spectacular autumn color from the north shore.  The "front page" post of the waxing crescent moon rising in a glorious blaze of a fall sunset is from earlier this very night...

And speaking of sunsets, this is from just the other evening... wow...

Here is yesterday's windy sky over the flaming colors of the Cascade River valley spilling out below us and swooping up Cascade Mountain...
An eye-popping quilt of brilliant hues, stitched by Mama Nature, the most talented seamstress of them all...

 ...and some graceful aspens glowing in the slanting light that gives us a hint that Winter is not so far away!
