Fully Framed

Here are some photos from Chris Norman, our builder, of the completed frame before any of the other elements of the building were added on. After these photos were taken those larch boards that we helped to stain and finish were put up for the ceiling (known in the building world as the "roof deck.") Today we hope he and his crew will be able to take advantage of a positive change in our recently lousy Minnesota weather to place the second floor and the roof SIPs, which you can see lying on the ground next to the building-in-progress, and a temporary outdoor deck.

A beautiful sight!

  1. Wow! You're going to be closed in in no time! I am going up Sunday Nov 1 & coming back the 2nd-can't wait to see it in person.

To whom do we report the missing autumnal equinox?

  3. Don't know whether you noticed (you probably did, but we just found yesterday)that Cascade Bluffs now shows on google maps! A visitor could type in your address & get directions to safely past the gravel pit. After that-they'd be on their own...but still...!
